Isn't it a comfort to worship a God we cannot exaggerate? - Francis Chan

Meet Our Team

Our Minister

Rev. Lorrie Daly-Price

Lorrie grew up in the United Church. She has fond memories of Church when she was growing up. Attending Sunday School, Vacation Bible Camps and weekly Church youth groups. One memory that has always stood out to her was her sense of awe and admiration for the Minister who stood at the pulpit and shared such amazing words, wondering if she might be able to do that one day.

Lorrie has participated in ministry with children and youth in a full-time capacity since 2001. This included time at the church she grew up in and time in which she served at a church in the west end of Toronto.

Feeling the nudges to grow in her faith journey she began an undergraduate degree in 2003 and obtained a Bachelor of Religious Education. Upon completion of her degree, and with the tremendous support of her family, especially her husband Steve, she returned to Emmanuel College to further her education in the Master of Divinity Program, graduating in 2013.

Lorrie began serving at Heritage in 2011 first as weekly pulpit supply, then half time as their student minister, until she graduated and was called to serve in ministry full time with them. She has always cherished the memory of her day of ordination into the United Church where her family and many folks from Heritage were on hand to share in this very special day. She just loves working with the congregation. She is passionate about outreach and pastoral care and it is her desire to ensure that everyone is able to utilize the gifts God has given them as they follow their particular call to ministry. She is always willing to try new things and encourage others to join her and see where God is leading. Above all, through God’s continued blessings, she wants to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

When not at Heritage, Lorrie can be found spending time with her husband Steve, her dogs Charlie and Molly as well as family and friends.

At Heritage United we are blessed with a talented group of volunteers who share their musical talents with us. We have electric guitar players, a french hornist, electronic keyboard, grand piano, organ and singers.

Music too is a little bit of everything. We love our traditional hymns found in our own United Church hymn books. We also love an old gospel hymn, classical pieces and there is always something contemporary. A little bit for everyone.
