Letting Go

Matthew 5:21-37
The things that people will do when they have been wronged in some way or another. Have you ever found yourself telling stories of how you pushed back, gave just punishment, insisted on your rights, even rebuked someone with crushing words? All of this got me thinking about the text we’ll hear in this Sermon from Matthew’s gospel. The words we hear are a bit shocking but also refer to a group of people who are faced with a mess of conflict of their own.
