Gifts From God

In the letter to the Ephesians we are assured that when we speak the truth in love we will be the mature body of Christ in the world. We are reminded that when we work together we are able to make a positive impact in the world. As the author of the letter says “Joined and held together by every supporting ligament the body of Christ will grow and build itself up in love as each part does its work.”
This is one of the goals of our new Regional Council, Shining Waters. We are invited to think about what are the things we can do together that we can’t do alone. It’s a good question for everyday life too. When we work as a team, when we collaborate using all of our gifts and strengths and talents and ideas – we can do amazing things to create a kind and caring world, a place that reflects Jesus’ teachings of how the Kingdom of God here on earth comes when the power that reigns is love.
